My History
Before opening my studio, I spent nearly a decade as a Kindergarten Early Childhood Educator with the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board in Kingston, Ontario. I also served as a Volunteer Firefighter in Elizabethtown–Kitley. These roles shaped who I am and how I care for others. They taught me to listen closely, move gently, and show up fully—especially in moments when people are feeling vulnerable, overwhelmed, or unseen.
My Journey in Esthetics
​When I transitioned into esthetics, I started to notice something meaningful. The people who found their way into my treatment room were often caregivers themselves—educators, nurses, social workers, and frontline workers. They came in carrying not just the demands of their jobs, but the emotional weight of caring for others in their personal lives too. Many weren’t used to being the ones receiving care. Their stories, their resilience, and their quiet strength deeply moved me. Over time, they became the heartbeat of MerkaMa. Today, MerkaMa Rejuvenations is more than a studio—it’s a space where you’re invited to slow down, exhale, and feel genuinely supported. Every treatment I offer is rooted in respect, safety, and presence. It is my intention that when you’re here, you feel seen, held, and reminded that your well-being matters just as much as everyone else’s.

The Inspiration Behind the MerkaMa Name
The Merkaba Symbol
An ancient star like symbol, Merkaba sources the meaning of light, spirit, and the physical body. Like a cosmic wheel, carrying oneself between realms of knowing and becoming. It symbolizes transformation, protection, and the divine currents that move through all things. A reminder that healing is not linear, but multidimensional — unfolding in layers seen and unseen.
The Woman Behind the Name
Merkaba + “Ma” is a tribute to my late grandmother, fondly known as Ma — a woman whose presence felt like coming home. A lifelong giver, Ma embodied the very spirit of care and devotion that MerkaMa seeks to celebrate.
